2nd Commandment Explained
"You shall not make for yourself a carved image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth; you shall not bow down to them nor serve them."
Again, this should be clear enough. A carved image would include status, large and small as well as the traditional "Cross" worn by many Christians. Most religions have some kind of symbol which they bow down too, are all these churches getting this 2nd Commandment wrong, hence breaking it?
"For I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children to the third and fourth generations of those who hate Me, but showing mercy to thousands, to those who love Me and keep My Commandments."
Claiming here that HE is a jealous God, suggesting that HE will at least will be offended and hurt by you breaking this Commandment. The Bible has many references to God being very hard on those who break HIS Commandments, but shows mercy to all those who love HIM and keep HIS Commandments.
